Vijayawada, April 3: BJP Andhra Pradesh state president P.V.N. Madhav on Friday said that the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj remains an enduring source of inspiration for every Indian, and that his ideals continue to hold relevance in contemporary times.

Speaking at a programme organised in Satyanarayanapuram, Vijayawada, to mark the death anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj, Mr. Madhav said the Maratha warrior-king had carved a unique place in history by resisting the Mughal empire and establishing the Hindavi Swarajya. He noted that inspired by his mother Jijiyabai, Shivaji had built numerous forts and consolidated his kingdom, and that the coronation at Raigad had heralded a wider awakening of Hindu consciousness. He added that the people of his era had regarded Shivaji as a divine figure.

Tracing Shivaji's connections with the Andhra region, Mr. Madhav said historical records suggest that the Maratha king's campaigns had extended as far as Visakhapatnam, and that he had undertaken penance at Srisailam.

Turning to the present, Mr. Madhav called upon the gathering to remain vigilant against forces attempting to divide the nation, and to cultivate a deeper respect for one's own dharma. He referred to the Central government's progress in suppressing Left-wing extremism, describing it as a significant step in safeguarding national security.

Against the backdrop of conflicts in various parts of the world, Mr. Madhav said India's philosophy of Sarva Dharma Samabhavana — equal respect for all faiths — positioned the country as a moral guide for the world and underlined its credentials as a Vishwaguru. He stressed the need to carry Shivaji's ideals to every section of society.

The programme was attended by BJP state general secretary Sannareddy Dayakar Reddy, SC Morcha state president Panatala Suresh, RSS representative Krishna Nagalingam Shivaji, and others.

శ్రీశైలం దేవస్థానంలో ఏడవ రోజు దసరా మహోత్సవాలు వైభవంగా

శ్రీశైలం (జర్నలిస్ట్ ఫైల్): శ్రీశైల బ్రహ్మరాంబ మల్లికార్జున స్వామివారి దేవస్థానంలో దసరా మహోత్సవాలు ఏకాగ్రతతో, వైభవంగా కొనసాగాయి. మహోత్సవాల ఏడవ రోజు ఆదివారం అమ్మవారికి విశేష పూజలు, జపానుష్ఠానాలు, హోమాలు నిర్వహించబడ్డాయి.

ప్రాతఃకాలం నుంచి అమ్మవారికి ప్రత్యేక కుంకుమార్చనలు, నవావరణార్చనలు, జపానుష్ఠానాలు, సూర్యనమస్కారాలు, చండీహోమం, చతుర్వేద పారాయణాలు నిర్వహించారు. అలాగే రుద్రహోమం, రుద్ర పారాయణాలు, రుద్రయాగాంగ జపాలు జరిపించారు. సాయంత్రం జపములు, నవావరణార్చనలు, కుంకుమార్చనలు, చండీహోమం నిర్వహించబడ్డాయి.

కుమారీపూజ సంప్రదాయం
దసరా ఉత్సవాల్లో భాగంగా ప్రతిరోజూ కుమారీపూజ నిర్వహించారు. రెండేళ్ల నుండి పది సంవత్సరాల వయస్సు గల బాలికలకు పూలు, పండ్లు, వస్త్రాలు సమర్పించి పూజలు చేశారు. నవరాత్రి ఉత్సవాల్లో ఈ కుమారీపూజ ఒక ముఖ్యమైన సంప్రదాయం.

కాళరాత్రి అలంకారం
నవదుర్గాల అలంకారాల్లో భాగంగా అమ్మవారిని కాళరాత్రి స్వరూపంలో భక్తులకు దర్శనమిచ్చేలా తీర్చిదిద్దారు. నల్లటి దేహ ఛాయ, విరియబోసిన జుట్టు, పెడబొబ్బ నవ్వుతో రౌద్రరూపంలో ఉన్నా, శుభ ఫలితాలను ప్రసాదించే దేవతగా కాళరాత్రిని ‘శుభంకరి’ అని పిలుస్తారని పురాణాలు చెబుతున్నాయి. భయాలను పారద్రోలే దేవతగా భక్తులు ఆమెను ఆరాధించారు.

గజవాహనసేవ
ఆదివారం సాయంత్రం శ్రీస్వామి, అమ్మవార్ల ఉత్సవమూర్తులను గజవాహనంపై వేంచేపు చేసి, ప్రత్యేక పూజలు, సేవలు నిర్వహించారు. వాహనసేవను దర్శించేందుకు పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో భక్తులు తరలివచ్చి, దసరా ఉత్సవాల వైభవాన్ని ఆస్వాదించారు.

శ్రీశైలం దేవస్థానం అన్నప్రసాద వితరణకు రూ. 1,16,000/- విరాళం

శ్రీశైలం దేవస్థానం నిర్వహిస్తున్న అన్నప్రసాద వితరణకు న్యూఢిల్లీకి చెందిన సందీష్ శర్మ వారు రూ. 1,16,000/- రూపాయలను విరాళంగా అందజేశారు. ఈ విరాళాన్ని దేవస్థానంలోని పర్యవేక్షకుడు జి. రవి స్వీకరించారు.

దాత అందజేసిన ఈ విరాళం తరువాత, తగిన రశీదు, ప్రసాదాలు, శేషవస్త్రం లాంటివి దాతకు అందజేయబడ్డాయి. శ్రీశైలం దేవస్థానం ఆధ్వర్యంలో ప్రతి రోజూ అనేక మంది భక్తులకు అన్నప్రసాద వితరణ కొనసాగుతుండగా, ఈ విరాళం ద్వారా ఆ వితరణ కార్యక్రమాన్ని మరింత అభివృద్ధి చేయడంలో సహాయపడనుంది. దేవస్థానం అధికారులు ఈ విరాళం కోసం సందీష్ శర్మ వారికి కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు.

"Srisailam Temple Readies for Mahashivaratri Brahmotsavams"

Srisailam (Journalist File): The famous Jyotirlinga temple at Srisailam, dedicated to Mallikarjuna Swamy and Bhramaramba, will host the Mahashivaratri Brahmotsavams from February 19 to March 1 next year. In preparation for the event, the Srisailam Devasthanam has begun making arrangements. The Executive Officer (EO) along with relevant officials inspected key areas including Kailasadwaram, Hata Keshwaram, and the queue complex to review the preparations.

The EO instructed the staff to expedite clearance work along the Bheemunikolanu steps and Kailasadwaram with the assistance of the Forest Department. Gravel work for roads should also be completed quickly. At Kailasadwaram, arrangements such as temporary shelters, drinking water facilities, and electricity supply should be completed within the stipulated time.

The EO also emphasized that devotees arriving by foot should be allowed early entry to the temple. All tasks must be finished by the first week of February. The temple administration will also support groups performing Anna Dhanam (food donation), ensuring the smooth distribution of prasadam until donors begin their food offerings. Special attention will be paid to cleanliness and sanitation during the festival period.

Additionally, the EO instructed the Health Department to set up medical camps in coordination with the local authorities. While inspecting the Hata Keshwaram temple, the EO recommended planting sacred trees in the temple garden.

Further inspections included the queue complex and the flooring of the compartments, where the EO directed that no cracks should be visible, and necessary repairs should be done. The EO also insisted on adding more toilets and maintaining cleanliness at the queue complex. Proper water supply systems should be ensured, and LED screens should be installed at the complex for the convenience of devotees to watch the spiritual programs. Precautionary measures must be taken to avoid any crowding, with support from the police as required.

The inspection team included FRO Subhash Reddy and other temple officials.

Andhra Pradesh Eyes Revenue Surge with New Seaplane Service in Sri Sailam

Srisailam ( Journalist File ) : The Andhra Pradesh government has taken the first steps toward establishing an aero drone in Sri Sailam to facilitate the operation of seaplane services. As part of the preparatory work, a team of officials from various departments recently conducted a survey at the Sri Sailam reservoir to assess the feasibility of the project.

Under the guidance of Project Engineer Amrith Kumar, the team, comprising officials from Tourism, Revenue, Forestry, Fisheries, and Water Resources, examined the upper stretch of the Krishna River. The team utilized specialized equipment to measure the river’s surface and found the location to be ideal for the development of an aero drone.

The establishment of the aero drone is expected to significantly enhance the accessibility of Sri Sailam, attracting both domestic and international tourists to the region. Officials emphasized that the development would pave the way for seaplane services, making it easier for travelers to reach the popular pilgrimage destination.

The government has ambitious plans to expand this initiative by setting up additional aero drones at strategic locations such as Nagarjunasagar and Prakasam Barrage. These efforts are aimed at boosting tourism and increasing state revenue. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister of Civil Aviation K. Ram Mohan Naidu have already expressed support for the project.

With the necessary groundwork in place, authorities are focused on expediting the establishment of the aero drone and the introduction of seaplane services, which are expected to become operational soon.

Peddi Raju conducted a surprise inspection of the Annaprasadam distribution department at the Srisailam temple on Wednesday, aimed at reviewing the food offerings provided to devotees. During the visit, he interacted with devotees receiving the meals and gathered their feedback.

All attendees expressed complete satisfaction with the Annaprasadam provided by the temple authorities. The Executive Officer also examined the dishes prepared for the day’s offerings in the kitchen.

He instructed the concerned officials to make advance arrangements in anticipation of the expected rush of devotees during the upcoming Kartika month. He emphasized the need to ensure that the vegetables used for Annaprasadam are fresh daily.

Furthermore, he directed that the kitchen, dining hall, and Annaprasadam distribution area should be kept clean at all times. The staff were advised to treat devotees with courtesy while receiving their meals.
