Amaravati (Journalist File): TDP national spokesperson Kommareddy Pattabhiram has accused Chief Minister Jagan Reddy of misusing public funds during his tenure. He stated that ₹12.85 crores had been spent from the government treasury for the ‘Great Fencing of the Tadepalli Palace.’

Pattabhiram explained that Jagan had allegedly spent hundreds of thousands of crores for personal luxury. He mentioned that funds were allocated for lavish amenities such as bathtubs, cupboards, and massage tables in the Tadepalli and Rushikonda palaces. He accused Jagan of squandering money that should have gone to the poor to support his extravagance.

He expressed astonishment at the massive iron fence constructed around the Tadepalli Palace, emphasizing the impact of demolishing houses of the poor in the vicinity for the sake of aesthetics, including the installation of greenery and decorative lights. He pointed out that this demolition had rendered 318 poor families homeless.

Pattabhiram questioned whether Chief Minister Jagan placed any importance on the safety and well-being of the people, given that he had erected iron fences using public money. He also referred to previous official information released by the General Administration Department, stating that ₹12.85 crores were allocated for the construction of the iron fence.

He further criticized the Chief Minister for financially harming the poor and suggested that if the ₹5,000 crores had been properly utilized, it could have provided pensions of ₹2,500 each for five years to 300,000 elderly individuals. "Jagan has betrayed these 300,000 people. The public will not forgive him for misusing public funds," Pattabhiram concluded.
