As tensions mounted, protesters advanced towards a mosque located behind the temple, prompting fears of a violent outbreak. In an attempt to control the situation, police launched a lathi charge, which only fueled the unrest. Numerous protesters reported injuries, with many being treated for severe wounds sustained during the altercation.

The clashes intensified as Hindu activists clashed with law enforcement, throwing shoes, chairs, and water bottles in anger. Eyewitnesses reported that police responded forcefully, apprehending several demonstrators and using physical measures to restore order. Among the injured was a young man named Durga, who suffered a broken arm during the lathi charge.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Rashmi Perumal arrived at the scene to engage with the protesting groups, seeking to defuse tensions. Despite her efforts, demonstrators continued to shout slogans against the police’s response, reflecting deep dissatisfaction with their actions.

To prevent further escalation and maintain public safety, authorities have reportedly suspended internet services in Secunderabad and neighboring areas. The situation remains tense as community leaders and law enforcement work to restore calm.
