He observed that women in both rural and urban areas were visibly glued to their television sets, eagerly watching the proceedings of the debate as they unfolded in real time.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister emphasised that ensuring adequate representation for women in politics — particularly in decision-making positions — was essential for the holistic development of the nation. He expressed the view that greater participation of women in governance would accelerate positive changes in the social and economic spheres at a much faster pace.

Pointing to the tangible results of reservations extended to women in local bodies across the country, Srinivas Varma argued that a similar transformation was now needed at the level of State Legislatures and Parliament. The impact of women's participation in local governance had already been felt nationwide, he said, and it was time to replicate that success at higher levels of democratic representation.

Expressing confidence that the Women's Reservation Constitutional Amendment Bill would be passed, the Minister described its enactment as a pivotal milestone in the political history of India. The Bill would significantly enhance the political representation of women and further strengthen democracy in the country, he added.

Calling upon all political parties to set aside their differences and extend wholehearted support to the Bill, Srinivas Varma said that collective cooperation was indispensable for legislation that advances women's empowerment. In the larger national interest, all sections of society and political opinion must work together to ensure the Bill's passage, he urged.

Sanjay questioned the manner of the arrest, asking whether it was appropriate for authorities to arrest the actor directly in his room without allowing him time to change his clothes. He expressed anger over the perceived lack of respect for the actor.

Sanjay praised Allu Arjun for bringing international recognition to Indian cinema, asserting that such a prominent figure deserved to be treated with greater respect. While acknowledging the tragic loss of a woman in the stampede, Sanjay blamed the incident on the failures of the Congress government, alleging that it was the government's lack of proper arrangements that led to the chaos. He also pointed out the immense popularity of Pushpa 2, following the success of Pushpa: The Rise, and criticized the inadequate arrangements made for the event.

The Minister emphasized that the negligence displayed in this situation could not be overlooked and called for Allu Arjun to be treated with dignity, not as a criminal. He further stated that the actor should be shown the respect he deserves.

Allu Arjun was arrested by Chikkadpally police today in connection with the stampede that resulted in a woman's death. Based on a statement from an eyewitness, the police interrogated the actor for approximately two hours before transferring him to Gandhi Hospital for a medical examination. He was later taken to the Nampally court. The police have clarified that they are following legal procedures in handling the case.

Union Minister Dr. Pemmachani Chandrashekhar's Remarks

Dr. Chandrashekhar expressed his appreciation for the event, saying, "I extend my thanks to Minister Nara Lokesh, who has organized this unique meeting to bring together students, parents, and teachers. In the past five years, have such efforts been made? The state government has introduced a school ranking system aimed at fostering a healthy competitive atmosphere for both students and teachers."

On Students

Commenting on the students, Dr. Chandrashekhar said, "The children showcased extraordinary talents. You must not only guide them but also inspire them to aim higher. Students should not only be content with standing in front of the stage, but should also aspire to sit upon it. Education is more than just academic success—while rankings are important, there is much more to life."

On Teachers

Addressing teachers, he added, "Teachers have the ability to transform even the most disruptive students into successful individuals. It is crucial to focus on the strengths and weaknesses of each student and work with them to develop their unique talents."

The event was also attended by several prominent figures, including Tadikonda MLA Tenali Shravan Kumar, Guntur District Collector Nagalakshmi, Guntur District President of Jana Sena Party Gade Venkateswara Rao, Guntur District DEO Renuka, and DM and HO Vijayalakshmi.
