Amaravati: BJP Andhra Pradesh State President P.V.N. Madhav on Tuesday welcomed the Central government's approval to establish a regional office of the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) in Amaravati, describing it as a long-overdue recognition of the demands of the State's fishing community. He conveyed the gratitude of the people of Andhra Pradesh to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the decision.

Longstanding Demand Finally Heard

In a statement issued here, Madhav said it was heartening that the Central government had acknowledged the aspirations of millions of fisherfolk in Andhra Pradesh who had been pressing for this facility for years. The establishment of an NFDB regional office, he said, would provide fresh momentum to the State's fisheries sector and bring institutional support closer to those who need it most.

AP's Aquaculture Clout Recognised

Madhav pointed out that Andhra Pradesh is a significant contributor to the country's foreign exchange earnings through aquaculture, and argued that the sanction of this office reflected Prime Minister Modi's foresight in recognising the State's strategic importance to the national fisheries economy. The decision, he said, was a fitting acknowledgement of Andhra Pradesh's pre-eminent role in the sector.

Boost to Technical Support and Marketing

The BJP State president said the regional office would streamline access to technical assistance, marketing opportunities, and the adoption of modern practices for fisherfolk across the State. This, he added, would translate into tangible benefits for coastal communities and contribute meaningfully to the overall economic development of Andhra Pradesh.

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Department of Medical, Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday categorically refuted allegations of irregularities in the recent recruitment of 611 Civil Assistant Surgeons (CAS) conducted through the AP Medical Services Recruitment Board, dismissing a published news report as factually incorrect.

Following directions from Health Secretary Saurabh Gaur, senior officials conducted a detailed review in consultation with Board authorities and concluded that no malpractice had occurred in the recruitment process.

Technical Errors Addressed Promptly

Upon scrutiny of the published allegations against official records, the department acknowledged that minor technical discrepancies in mark computation had surfaced, but maintained these were rectified promptly upon receipt of representations from candidates. In one instance, a candidate's Covid-19 service experience had been incorrectly entered; once corrected and appropriate marks awarded, the candidate's position in the merit list was revised accordingly.

Roster Implementation Found Compliant

The department stated that the roster had been implemented without any deviation from prescribed norms. Doubts raised over the selection of a Scheduled Caste category candidate were examined and found to be consistent with applicable category rules. Official records confirmed that marks assigned to candidates on the merit list were computed strictly on the basis of service, seniority, and other established criteria.

On the question of non-local candidates, the department clarified that the 40 per cent Open Category seats carry no domicile requirement under existing rules, and selections were made accordingly. Candidates who submitted their mark lists belatedly were also considered in accordance with past precedent.

Sports Quota Posts to Be Filled Shortly

Responding to concerns that certain roster points remained unfilled, the department explained that appointments under the Sports Category had been deferred pending requisite approvals, and that these vacancies would be filled in due course.

The department further noted that adequate representation had been ensured for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes, with records indicating that a significant proportion of selections were drawn from reserved categories.

Zonal Rules Not Applicable to State-Level Posts

On the posting of doctors outside their home zones, the department clarified that CAS positions are State-level posts and are therefore not governed by zonal regulations, making inter-regional postings entirely consistent with service rules. It further asserted that no additional marks were awarded to any candidate, and that no other applicant had been prejudiced as a result.

The department stated that since assuming office, the coalition government has prioritised transparency in the health sector, undertaking large-scale recruitments free from external interference. It cautioned that unsubstantiated allegations risk misleading the public and undermining the credibility of an administration committed to integrity and accountability. The department urged the media to publish a factual clarification in the interest of accurate public information.

విజయవాడ ( జర్నలిస్ట్ ఫైల్ ) :భారతీయ సంస్కృతీ సంప్రదాయాలకు ప్రతీకైన ఆయుష్ శాఖ ను పటిష్ట పరచేందుకు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం చర్యలు తీసుకుంటుందని వైద్య ఆరోగ్య, కుటుంబ సంక్షేమం  శాఖ మంత్రి సత్య కుమార్ యాదవ్ తెలిపారు..శుక్రవారం స్ధానిక డాక్టర్ ఎన్టీఆర్ హెల్త్ యూనివర్సిటీ ప్రాంగణంలో ఆయుష్ శాఖకు చెందిన పీజీ విద్యార్థులు, హౌస్ సర్జన్స్ స్టైఫండ్స్ పెంచినందుకు మంత్రి సత్య కుమార్ యాదవ్ కు ఆత్మీయ సత్కారం చేశారు.. ఈ సందర్భంగా మంత్రి సత్య కుమార్ యాదవ్ మాట్లాడుతూ దేశానికే ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రం ఆయుష్ శాఖను ఆదర్శంగా ఉంచేలా అభివృద్ధి చేస్తున్నామన్నారు. విద్యార్ధుల పరిస్థితిని అర్ధం చేసుకుని రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం స్టైఫండ్ ను పెంచిందన్నారు. 2025-26 సంవత్సరానికి రాష్ట్ర ఆయుష్ శాఖ అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాల కోసం కేంద్రం రూ. 166 కోట్లు మంజూరు చేసిందన్నారు.. దర్మవరం, కాకినాడలో కొత్తగా ఆయుర్వేద కళాశాలలు మంజూరు చేశామన్నారు.. 

గత ప్రభుత్వం ఆయుష్ శాఖను పట్టించుకోకుండా నిర్లక్ష్యం చేసిందన్నారు. కేంద్రానికి పంపించాల్సిన నివేదికలను పంపక పోవడం వల్ల మూడు సంవత్సరాల్లో ఒక్క రూపాయి కూడా ఆయుష్ శాఖకు కేటాయింపు జరగలేదన్నారు.  ఎంతో ప్రాచీనమైన మన భారతీయ ఆయుష్, యునాని తదితర వైద్య విధానాలను సంరక్షించుకునేందుకు చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నామన్నారు.. భావితరాలకు దీని విశిష్టతను తెలియపరిచే విధంగా కొన్ని నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకోవడం జరిగిందన్నారు.. కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం కూడా దీనికి సంపూర్ణ సహకారం అందిస్తుందన్నారు.. ఆయుష్ ప్రాధాన్యతను ప్రధాన మంత్రి శ్రీ నరేంద్ర మోదీ గుర్తించి దీనికి ఒక మంత్రిత్వ శాఖను ఏర్పాటు చేయడం జరిగిందని అన్నారు. ఆయుష్ లో భాగమైన యోగా, ప్రాణా యామం వంటి వాటికి ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ప్రాచుర్యం  కల్పించారన్నారు.. 

రాష్ట్రంలో కొత్తగా ఆయుష్ శాఖకు చెందిన ఐదు ఆస్పత్రులను, మూడు కాలేజీలను ఏర్పాటు చేయబోతున్నామన్నారు.. ఆయుష్ వ్యవస్థని మరింత పటిష్టపరిచే విధంగా బోధనా సిబ్బంది, బోధనేతర సిబ్బంది మొత్తం కలిపి 500 పోస్టుల నియామకాలు చేపట్టబోతున్నామన్నారు. విజయవాడ ఆయుర్వేద కళాశాలకు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం 3 కోట్ల రూపాయల నిధులు మంజూరు చేసిందన్నారు. ఇంటిగ్రేటెడ్ ఆయుర్వేద కళాశాలలు  విశాఖపట్నం, కాకినాడ లలో  మంజూరు చేయడం జరిగిందన్నారు.. గత ప్రభుత్వం పూర్తి గా ఆయుష్ శాఖను నిర్వీర్యం చేసిందన్నారు.. కూటమి ప్రభుత్వం వచ్చిన సంవత్సరంలోనే మొదటి ఏడాది రూ. 83 కోట్లు, రెండో ఏడాది 166 కోట్లు మంజూరు చేశారన్నారు. గతంలో 2018 లో సెంట్రల్ రీసెర్చ్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూషన్ ఫర్  యోగా అండ్ నేచురోపతికి భూమిని కేటాయించగా, గత ప్రభుత్వం ఆ స్థలాన్ని వేరే యాక్టివిటీస్ కి ఇచ్చారని, అది కూడా నెరవేరలేదన్నారు. అంత ప్రతిష్టాత్మకమైన సంస్థను గత ప్రభుత్వం రాష్ట్రానికి రానివ్వకుండా చేసిందన్నారు.. కూటమి ప్రభుత్వం వచ్చిన తర్వాత ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు అమరావతి ప్రాంతమైన ప్రత్తిపాడులో ఆ సంస్ధకు భూమిని కేటాయించి, రాబోయే 2 సంవత్సర కాలంలో నిర్మాణం పూర్తి చేసి  అందుబాటులో తీసుకొచ్చే ప్రయత్నం చేస్తున్నామన్నారు. దీనివల్ల ఆయుష్ లో అత్యాధునిక సాంకేతికతను అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చి అధునాతనమైన పరిశోధనలు చేయడానికి విద్యార్థులకు ఎంతో  ప్రయోజనకరంగా ఉంటుందన్నారు. 

ఆయుష్ శాఖ డైరెక్టర్ దినేష్ కుమార్ మాట్లాడుతూ రాష్ట్రంలో పీజీ విద్యార్ధుల స్టైఫండ్ ను పెంచి రికార్డు సృష్టించారన్నారు. గతంతో పోల్చుకుంటే ఆయుష్ శాఖలో ఎన్నో సంస్కరణలు తీసుకొచ్చామన్నారు. వైద్య విద్యార్ధులు ప్రభుత్వం ఇస్తున్న ప్రోత్సాహాకాన్ని అందిపుచ్చుకుని మందడుగు వేయాలన్నారు. కార్యక్రమంలో ఎన్టీఆర్ హెల్త్ వర్సిటీ వీసీ డాక్టర్ చంద్రశేఖర్, రిజిస్ట్రార్ డాక్టర్ రాధికారెడ్డి, ఆయుష్ డిపార్ట్మెంట్ అడిషనల్ డైరెక్టర్ పి. సాయి సుధాకర్, డాక్టర్ నోరి రామ శాస్త్రి ప్రభుత్వ ఆయుర్వేద కళాశాల ప్రిన్సిపాల్ కె. నిర్మలా జ్యోతి బాయ్, ఆయుర్వేద కళాశాల కు చెందిన పీజీ, హౌస్ సర్జన్స్ పాల్గొన్నారు..
