The summit is being organised in association with the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) as part of efforts to promote scientific research, technological innovation and collaboration among institutions.

Announcing the programme at a press conference in Vijayawada on Saturday, SRM University-AP Vice-Chancellor Prof. C.H. Satish Kumar said the university had been organising national-level conferences on science and technology every year.

శ్రీహరికోటలోని సతీష్ ధావన్ అంతరిక్ష కేంద్రం నుంచి పీఎస్‌ఎల్‌వి–సి61 రాకెట్ ద్వారా ఈఒఎస్–09 (రిసాట్–1బి)ను ప్రయోగించనున్నారు. ఇది అత్యాధునిక సి బ్యాండ్ సింథటిక్ అపర్చర్ రాడార్ (ఎస్‌ఏఆర్) వ్యవస్థతో రూపొందించబడిన శాటిలైట్‌. అన్ని వాతావరణ పరిస్థితుల్లోనూ స్పష్టమైన నిఘా చిత్రాలను అందించగలగడం దీని ప్రత్యేకత.

దేశ భద్రత కోసం ఎంతో కీలకమైన ఈ ఉపగ్రహం 1,710 కిలోల బరువుతో రూపొందించబడింది. ఉగ్రవాద కార్యకలాపాలను ముందుగానే గుర్తించేందుకు, చొరబాట్లను అడ్డుకోవడంలో ఇది కీలకంగా వ్యవహరిస్తుందని ఇస్రో అధికారులు తెలిపారు. దీనివల్ల రాత్రింబవళ్లు సరిహద్దుల్లో శత్రు కదలికలపై సమగ్ర సమాచారం అందనుంది.
