AMARAVATI, May 10: Andhra Pradesh has secured second place nationally in two prestigious Union government awards recognising excellence in rural development, BJP State President PVN Madhav announced on Sunday, describing the achievement as a matter of pride for every resident of the State.

The awards — the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satatva Vikas Puraskar–2025 and the Nanaji Deshmukh Sarvottam Panchayat Satatva Puraskar–2025 — are conferred by the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj to honour outstanding contributions to sustainable village development, sanitation, and the realisation of Gram Swaraj ideals.

Mr. Madhav attributed the recognition to the sustained efforts of the NDA alliance government in the State, saying it vindicated the administration's commitment to strengthening the Panchayati Raj system at the grassroots level. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership for charting a new course in rural development across the country.

The BJP State president extended his congratulations to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his visionary stewardship of the State's development agenda, and to Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for his effective management of the Panchayati Raj portfolio.

Special felicitations were conveyed to the sarpanches, elected representatives, administrative officials, and residents of the four gram panchayats that earned the awards — Shringavaram, Bokkasampalem, Chemullappalli, and Gundamala. Mr. Madhav expressed hope that the State would continue to advance further in achieving the goals of rural development, sanitation, and sustainable growth.

"This national recognition is a testament to what the NDA government has been able to accomplish in a short span of time by keeping villages and their people at the centre of governance," he said.

AMARAVATI, April 15: A significant meeting of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partner parties was held at the residence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu here on Wednesday, where the alliance partners resolved to extend unified support to the Women's Reservation Bill and the Delimitation Bill currently being taken up in Parliament, hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi for what they described as landmark legislative initiatives.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav, and TDP State president Palla Srinivasarao, among other senior leaders. The discussions, which lasted nearly two and a half hours, centred on the latest developments unfolding in New Delhi, particularly concerning constituency delimitation and the Women's Reservation Bill.

The leaders decided that all MLAs and MLCs of the alliance parties would gather at a common venue in Amaravati on April 17 to watch the passage of the Women's Reservation Bill live. It was also resolved to extend invitations to all political parties in the State, including the YSR Congress Party, as well as prominent women leaders, to participate in the event.

A programme expressing support for the Bill is to be organised immediately upon its passage in the Lok Sabha.

Addressing concerns over delimitation, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that he had sought and received clarification from the Central leadership, particularly Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, regarding apprehensions that southern States would not receive a proportionate increase in parliamentary seats. The Centre had categorically assured that seat allocation would follow the pro-rata method and that southern States would suffer no disadvantage, he said.

Chief Minister Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav expressed satisfaction over the clarifications received. The leaders condemned what they described as a disinformation campaign surrounding the seat-sharing formula and resolved to politically welcome both Bills.

It was further decided to organise extensive programmes at the district and constituency levels in support of the Women's Reservation Bill, and to ensure that women across the State express their gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for the historic legislation. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu directed that live streaming of the Bill's introduction in Parliament be arranged across all constituencies in the State.

Deputy Chief Minister reviews district development with Collector and SP, directs officials to eliminate potholed roads, ensure drinking water supply, and complete Green Wall project before monsoon

KAKINADA: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Thursday announced that he would visit Kakinada district once every two months, saying he intended to engage directly with residents of both the Kakinada and Pithapuram constituencies to hear their grievances at first hand and ensure their prompt resolution.

Chairing a review meeting at his camp office in Mangalagiri with Kakinada District Collector M.N. Harendraprasad and Superintendent of Police Bindhu Madhav, Mr. Kalyan issued a series of directives covering infrastructure, public health, sanitation, youth welfare, and law enforcement.

Roads and water supply

Mr. Kalyan directed the Collector to ensure that not a single potholed road remained anywhere in the district. He said roads that had deteriorated beyond repair should be rebuilt entirely, while minor potholes were to be patched without delay. He also called for a comprehensive plan to develop all internal roads across the district, with particular attention to village-level connectivity.

On drinking water, the Deputy Chief Minister stressed that every household must receive potable water in line with the targets set under the Jal Jeevan Mission, and that disruptions to supply under no circumstances should be allowed to occur.

Health, sanitation, and youth

Mr. Kalyan asked officials to strengthen oversight of government hospitals, conduct periodic reviews of facilities, and prioritise sanitation management across the district. He directed that village-level parks be developed and that schools and hostels be visited regularly to assess and address the needs of students.

The Deputy Chief Minister also called for structured programmes to train youth in sports, arts, and vocational skills, saying that identifying and nurturing talent at the grassroots would multiply the productive capacity of young people in the district. He asked that libraries be strengthened and that mechanisms be put in place to recognise and encourage innovation among youth.

Green Wall and environment

Mr. Kalyan instructed forest officials to ensure that the Great Green Wall project — a coastal plantation drive along Kakinada district's shoreline — was completed before the onset of the monsoon. He asked that a tree-planting programme be launched as part of broader environmental conservation efforts in the district.

Crackdown on ration mafia

Addressing the SP, Mr. Kalyan called for firm action against the illegal diversion of PDS rice, saying that those involved in the ration mafia must be dealt with decisively. He directed the police to put in place stringent measures to prevent the illicit transportation of subsidised grain meant for the poor.

Mr. Kalyan holds the Pithapuram assembly constituency and has represented it since the 2024 general elections. Thursday's review is the latest in a series of administrative engagements he has undertaken at the district level since assuming office as Deputy Chief Minister.

He expressed satisfaction over the gazette notification issued by President Droupadi Murmu conferring permanent recognition on Amaravati as the State capital, describing the development as a significant milestone that would contribute to the long-term growth and stability of Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Madhav expressed confidence that the coalition government would continue to move forward in alignment with the aspirations of the people of the State and that several developmental programmes would be undertaken in the coming months.

He also recalled the support extended by leaders like Pawan Kalyan during the agitation.

"The confusion that prevailed all these years has finally been put to rest," Mr. Ramakrishna said, welcoming the Parliamentary amendment that formally designates Amaravati as the permanent capital of Andhra Pradesh under a revised Reorganisation Act.

Uprooted Twice, Uncertain Thrice

The anguish of Secretariat employees, Mr. Ramakrishna explained, was not merely administrative — it was existential. Having already made the wrenching transition from Hyderabad to Amaravati following bifurcation, they had begun putting down roots in the new capital city, making decisions about housing, schools, and long-term settlement. The abrupt pivot to a three-capital model under the previous government had shattered that fragile sense of stability.

"Employees did not know where they were supposed to be — Amaravati, Visakhapatnam, or Kurnool. That kind of uncertainty takes a very real toll," he said. With Parliament now having settled the matter through legislation, employees could serve from Amaravati with clarity, confidence, and undivided commitment, he added.

A Bill Born of a Resolution

Mr. Ramakrishna noted that the Parliamentary amendment had followed swiftly on the heels of a resolution passed by the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly — a sequence that underscored the determination of both the state and Central governments to place the capital question beyond the reach of future political reversal. He credited Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and Minister Nara Lokesh for their persistence in steering the process to its legislative conclusion. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were also commended for the Central Government's decisive intervention.

₹7,000 Crore Relief and Pending Assurances

Beyond the capital question, Mr. Ramakrishna touched on the broader welfare landscape for government employees, painting a cautiously optimistic picture. He said the state government had been maintaining regular dialogue with employee associations and had recently committed to clearing pending dues of over ₹7,000 crore — a development he described as a significant and tangible relief. Further assurances had been given that other long-pending issues would be addressed without delay, and he said the Association reposed confidence in the government's intentions.

A Pledge of Cooperation

In a gesture of reciprocal goodwill, Mr. Ramakrishna pledged the Association's full cooperation with the government's administrative agenda. "We understand the challenges the state faces. Employees are not merely bystanders — we are participants in Andhra Pradesh's development story," he said, affirming that Secretariat staff would discharge their responsibilities from Amaravati with renewed purpose now that the capital's future had been secured in law.

తొలుత  నిడదవోలు నుండి వేమగిరి మీదుగా మంత్రి కందుల దుర్గేష్ తో పాటుగా జనసైనికులతో ప్రారంభమైన బస్సు యాత్ర బిక్కవోలుకు చేరుకున్న అనంతరం ఎలాంటి విఘ్నాలు లేకుండా కార్యక్రమం సజావుగా జరగాలని ప్రఖ్యాత పురాతన లక్ష్మీ గణపతి వారి దేవస్థానాన్ని దర్శించుకున్నారు. ఆ తర్వాత   జాతీయపతాకాలు పట్టుకొని జనసైనికులతో కలిసి మంత్రి కందుల దుర్గేష్ శ్రీ కుమార సుబ్రహ్మణ్య స్వామి సన్నిధి చుట్టూ ప్రదక్షిణలు చేశారు.  ఈ సందర్భంగా వేదపండితులు మంత్రి దుర్గేష్ కు ఆశీర్వచనం చేశారు.  

ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆలయం వెలుపల మంత్రి కందుల దుర్గేష్ మాట్లాడుతూ మన దేశం ఆర్థికంగా, సైనిక శక్తిగా దృఢంగా ఉన్నా దేవుడి ఆశీస్సులు కూడా మెండుగా ఉండాలనే ఉద్దేశ్యంతో జనసేన పార్టీ అధ్యక్షులు పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారు ఇచ్చిన పిలుపుమేరకు  బిక్కవోలు శ్రీ కుమార సుబ్రహ్మణ్య స్వామి దేవాలయంలో ప్రత్యేక పూజలు నిర్వహించానని తెలిపారు. ప్రధాని మోదీ నాయకత్వంలో శత్రు సేనలను కట్టడి చేసి, దేశాన్ని కాపాడే గొప్ప శక్తిసామర్థ్యాలు, సాంకేతిక పరిజ్ఞానం దేశ త్రివిధ దళాలకు మెండుగా ఉన్న నేపథ్యంలో వారి కోసం దేశమంతా ప్రార్థించే సమయమిది అని గుర్తుచేస్తూ నిర్వర్తించిన పూజలు సైనికులకు మరింత బలం చేకూర్చాలని ఆకాంక్షిస్తున్నాను అన్నారు. దేశ ప్రజలు సురక్షితంగా ఉండాలన్నదే తమ ధ్యేయమన్నారు. సురులను కాపాడి అసురులను సంహరించిన సుబ్రహ్మణ్యస్వామిలా నేడు దుష్టముష్కరుల నుండి, ఉగ్రవాదం నుండి  భారతదేశాన్ని కాపాడుతున్న నిజమైన సైన్యాధ్యక్షులు భారతసైనికులు అని మంత్రి దుర్గేష్ అన్నారు. భారత సైన్యం చూపిస్తున్న తెగువ, చేస్తున్న త్యాగం దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకొని వారికి ఆత్మస్థైర్యం, ధైర్యం ఇవ్వాలని దేవున్ని ప్రార్థించినట్లు మంత్రి తెలిపారు. అదే విధంగా కశ్మీర్ నుండి కన్యాకుమారి వరకు శాంతికాముకంగా ఉన్న భారతదేశంలో ఎలాంటి అరాచకాలు జరగొద్దని కాంక్షించినట్లు మంత్రి పేర్కొన్నారు. దేశ సమగ్రతకు అందరం కృషి చేద్దామని పిలుపునిచ్చారు. అమాయకులైన 26 మంది పర్యాటకుల్ని పహల్గాంలో పొట్టన పెట్టుకున్న ఉగ్రమూకల్ని భారత ప్రభుత్వం ఆపరేషన్ సిందూర్ తో ఇప్పటికే తుద ముట్టించిందని వెల్లడించారు.  ఈ క్రమంలో పాకిస్థాన్ మీద చేస్తున్న ధర్మ యుద్ధంలో భారత సైన్యానికి, ప్రధాని మోదీకి భగవంతుని ఆశీస్సులు, దైవబలం మెండుగా ఉండాలని ప్రార్థించామన్నారు. ఆపరేషన్ సిందూర్ తో దేశానికి ఆపదలను దూరం చేయాలని ప్రార్థనలు చేశామన్నారు.   ఈ సందర్భంగా  దేశం కోసం, దేశ సమగ్రత కోసం తమ ప్రాణాలను తృణప్రాయంగా అర్పించిన సైనికులకు నివాళులు అర్పించారు. సరిహద్దుల్లో సైనికుల పోరాట స్ఫూర్తిని ప్రశంసించారు. కీలక సమయంలో దేశ ప్రజల ఐక్యత నిరూపితమైందని గుర్తుచేశారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా జై జవాన్, భారత్ మాతాకీ జై, జయహో భారత్ అంటూ మంత్రి కందుల దుర్గేష్ నినదించారు.కార్యక్రమంలో అనపర్తి ఎమ్మెల్యే నల్లమిల్లి రామకృష్ణారెడ్డి, కూటమి నాయకులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

అమరావతి ( జర్నలిస్ట్ ఫైల్ ) :  అంతర్జాతీయ నర్సుల దినోత్సవాన్ని( International Nurses Day ) పురస్కరించుకుని ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వం ఎంతో గౌరవంగా నిర్వహించిన వేడుకల్లో జనసేన (Janasena) పార్టీ అధినేత, రాష్ట్ర ఉపముఖ్యమంత్రి పవన్ కల్యాణ్  ( Pawan Kalyan ) పాల్గొన్నారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా పిఠాపురం (Pithapuram ) నియోజకవర్గానికి చెందిన ప్రభుత్వ స్టాఫ్ నర్సులతో ప్రత్యేకంగా సమావేశమైన పవన్ కల్యాణ్, వైద్యరంగంలో విశిష్ట సేవలందించిన ఎనిమిది మంది నర్సులను ఘనంగా సత్కరించారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా మాట్లాడిన పవన్ కల్యాణ్, నర్సులు అందించే సేవలు అమూల్యమైనవని ప్రశంసించారు. ఫ్లోరెన్స్ నైటింగేల్ స్ఫూర్తితో నర్సులు తన వృత్తికి గౌరవం తీసుకువచ్చేలా రోగులకు స్వస్థతను అందిస్తున్నారని కొనియాడారు. నిస్వార్థంగా విధులను నిర్వర్తిస్తూ ఎందరో రోగుల ప్రాణాలను కాపాడుతున్న నర్సుల సేవలు మరచిపోలేనివని తెలిపారు.

కోవిడ్ మహమ్మారి సమయంలో నర్సులు చేసిన సేవలు దేశం ఎప్పటికీ గుర్తుంచుకుంటుందని పవన్ పేర్కొన్నారు. తన కుమారుడు మార్క్ శంకర్ ఇటీవల సింగపూర్‌లో పాఠశాలలో జరిగిన అగ్నిప్రమాదంలో గాయపడి ఆసుపత్రిలో చేరిన విషయాన్ని గుర్తు చేసుకుంటూ, అక్కడ నర్సులు అందించిన సేవలు తనను ఎంతో ప్రభావితం చేశాయని చెప్పారు. ఈ అనుభవం నర్సుల సేవల విలువను మరింత బలంగా గుర్తుచేసిందని పేర్కొన్నారు.

ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొన్న నర్సులు తమ సమస్యలను పవన్ కల్యాణ్ దృష్టికి తీసుకురాగానే, ఆయన వాటిని గౌరవంగా స్వీకరించి, వాటిని రాష్ట్ర ఆరోగ్యశాఖ మంత్రి సత్యకుమార్ యాదవ్‌కు తీసుకెళ్లి పరిష్కారానికి కృషి చేస్తానని హామీ ఇచ్చారు. నర్సుల సమస్యలు అధికారికంగా గుర్తింపు పొందేందుకు ఇది సరైన దిశగా ముందడుగు కావొచ్చని విశ్లేషకులు భావిస్తున్నారు.
