RTC Executive Directors Felicitated by Employees’ Union
Vijayawada (Journalist File): The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (RTC) Employees’ Union (EU) organized a felicitation ceremony on Thursday to honor the newly appointed executive directors at the RTC House. The honored officials included G.V. Ravi Varma (Executive Director-A), T. Chengal Reddy (Executive Director-E), and N. Sudhakar, Finance Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer, according to a statement by EU State President Palishetti Damodara Rao and General Secretary G.V. Narasayya.
During the event, the union held extensive discussions with the executive directors regarding the challenges faced by RTC employees. The union urged the reinstatement of guidelines related to job security, as outlined in Circular No. 01/2019, to ensure a stable and stress-free work environment for employees.
The union also requested that halted night halt and daily allowances, which have been pending since 2022, be resumed in accordance with Government Order No. 114, ensuring parity with government employees. Furthermore, the union raised concerns about stalled promotions, pointing out that the lack of action since the RTC merger has affected around 3,000 employees. They demanded immediate steps to address the issue.

They also pressed for the settlement of pending dues related to the 2017 Pay Revision Commission (PRC), along with the arrears from the SRBS and SBT schemes that were halted.
The union leaders assured employees that they would present all these issues to the government and RTC Managing Director to seek swift resolutions.
Several union leaders, including M.D. Prasad, M.D.A. Siddiq, T.V. Bhavani, Mandapati Shankar Rao, S.K. Mohiuddin, S.S. Narayana, G.S. Narayana, N.C.H. Chakravarthi, and Vijayawada Zone Zonal Secretary Y. Srinivas Rao, participated in the event.
