PRC Delay Unacceptable: AP JAC Chief Vidyasagar Warns Govt

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh NGGOs Association State president and AP JAC chairman A. Vidyasagar on Sunday expressed concern over the delay in appointing a chairman for the Pay Revision Commission (PRC), urging the State government to expedite the process and address long-pending employee issues.

Speaking at the State executive meeting of the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural Employees Services Association held at Veterinary Colony here, Mr. Vidyasagar said that government employees, teachers and pensioners have been awaiting the constitution of the PRC for over two-and-a-half years. He noted that even after nearly 20 months of the present government, no progress had been made on the appointment, leading to growing dissatisfaction among employees.

He also highlighted delays in the disbursement of retiral benefits, stating that many retired employees were facing hardship due to non-payment of gratuity and surrender leave encashment. He urged the government to prioritise the clearance of such dues.

Mr. Vidyasagar further called for the settlement of pending payments, including GPF, APGLI, CPS contributions and medical reimbursements, some of which have remained unresolved for several years.

Referring to issues concerning agriculture department staff, he said matters such as promotions, service conditions and creation of administrative posts would be taken up with the government. He assured that the NGGOs Association would extend full support towards resolving these concerns.

While acknowledging that the government had shown a positive approach in addressing certain issues, he said delays in key matters such as PRC implementation and payment of pending surrender leave had caused discontent among employees.

The meeting, chaired by association State president Sai Kumar, was attended by representatives from various districts. Newly elected office-bearers of the agriculture department employees’ associations were felicitated on the occasion.
