MLC Alapati Opens Free Coaching Doors for Guntur's Underprivileged Students

Guntur: In an initiative aimed at bridging the educational divide, NRI Educational Institutions will offer free coaching for PolyCET and APRJC entrance examinations to students from economically weaker and middle-class backgrounds who have completed Class 10. The programme has been taken up on the directions of Alapati Rajendra Prasad, Secretary and Correspondent of the institution and Member of the Legislative Council.

Announcing the initiative, Executive Director Pidikiti Tilak Babu said the coaching programme was designed to ensure that financial constraints did not come in the way of deserving students securing admission to quality technical and residential institutions. Pamphlets outlining the programme details were released at the Vidyanagar City Office.

The classes will begin on April 3 and will be held every day between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Each session will include two hours of Mathematics and one hour each of Physics and Chemistry. To help students gauge their preparedness, three grand tests will be administered over the course of the programme.

Students registered for the APRJC examination will receive additional coaching in English and Biology. As an incentive for early enrolment, the first 200 students to register will be provided free study material at no cost.

The coaching will be conducted across three centres — Kothapet, Vidyanagar, and NRI Engineering College at Visadala — to ensure accessibility for students from different parts of the district.

Tilak Babu noted that polytechnic courses provide students with a faster route to employment, and urged Class 10 students to make use of the opportunity. Naveen Chowdary, Balakrishna and Bhanu Prasad were present at the launch.

Students wishing to enrol may contact 8885995458, 9502054168 or 9398788336 to register.
