HYDERABAD, September 26, 2026 (Journalist File): The Ganesh immersion festivities in Hyderabad concluded peacefully, prompting police personnel to celebrate at the Telangana Secretariat premises after days of round-the-clock security arrangements across the city.
Senior police officers and personnel joined the celebrations, dancing to DJ music at the Secretariat. Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar joined his staff on the dance floor, drawing attention on social media. Traffic Joint Commissioner Joel Davis, Additional Joint Commissioner Tapsir Iqbal and several deputy commissioners of police from different Hyderabad zones also took part in the celebrations.
Police personnel, from senior officers to constables, had been deployed extensively for the immersion procession. Their coordinated security arrangements helped ensure that the festivities concluded without major disruption. Videos showing senior officers celebrating alongside their staff have since circulated widely on social media.
