VIJAYAWADA, SEPTEMBER 3: The NDA coordination committee in Andhra Pradesh held a meeting on Thursday to discuss preparations for the upcoming local body elections and coordination among the three alliance partners.
The meeting focused on the proposed electoral strategy, coordination between the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jana Sena Party, and strengthening the alliance’s organisational network at the grassroots level.
TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao, Minister for Water Resources Nimmala Ramanaidu, BJP State president PVN Madhav, Minister Satya Kumar Yadav and Jana Sena leader and Minister Nadendla Manohar attended the meeting.
The leaders discussed mechanisms to ensure coordination among alliance leaders and workers at the village and mandal levels. They also stressed the need to identify local issues and work towards their resolution while taking the development and welfare initiatives of the State government to the people.
Mr. Madhav called for strengthening coordination at the grassroots level to effectively face the local body elections. The meeting decided that leaders and workers of the three alliance partners should work together to improve the prospects of NDA candidates.
The committee also decided to resolve issues arising at the local level through mutual consultation and expedite preparations for the elections.
