HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 3: The removal of Konda Surekha from the Telangana Cabinet has triggered political discussion in the State, with the former Minister expressing strong dissatisfaction over the decision.
While Ms. Surekha criticised the decision and questioned the manner in which she was removed, her husband and former Minister Konda Murali reacted in a markedly different manner.
As reports of Ms. Surekha’s removal from the Cabinet emerged, Mr. Murali came out of his residence and appeared before the media. He was seen smiling and twirling his moustache, without making a detailed statement.
His gestures and demeanour attracted considerable attention on social media, with videos and photographs of the episode being widely shared and discussed.
Mr. Murali’s reaction came against the backdrop of Ms. Surekha’s criticism of the decision and her allegations that she had been removed without being given an opportunity to explain her position. The political implications of the Cabinet change are expected to remain a subject of discussion within the Telangana Congress.
