DHARMAVARAM, Sept. 15, 2026: In a constituency where educational opportunity can often determine whether a young person moves ahead or falls behind, Andhra Pradesh Health Minister and Dharmavaram MLA Satya Kumar Yadav is pushing a broad-based education and youth development campaign that combines classroom support, basic infrastructure, competitive-exam coaching and employment assistance.
The initiative, backed by the Samskruthi Seva Samithi, has placed government-school students and aspiring young professionals at the centre of its programmes. From free bicycles and examination-fee support to after-school learning centres and Civil Services coaching, the effort is designed to remove some of the practical and financial barriers faced by students from disadvantaged families.
843 Students Get Extra Learning Support
A major component of the campaign is Vidya Vikasam, under which 30 free teaching centres across five mandals are providing additional instruction to 843 students. The programme is being implemented by the Ekalavya Foundation with support from the Samskruthi Seva Samithi.
The centres are functioning in Dharmavaram urban and rural areas, Bathalapalli, Tadimarri and Mudigubba. Thirty local teachers have been appointed, and classes began on Aug. 10.
The focus goes beyond marks. Teachers are identifying subjects in which students are struggling and providing targeted support after school hours. The programme also seeks to build confidence, communication skills, creativity and leadership qualities while exposing students to higher education and competitive examinations.
40 Schools Join Vidya Vahini
The Vidya Vahini programme has expanded the effort to another 40 government high schools, where academic progress, attendance and personality development are being monitored.
The objective is to identify students who need help early and provide timely support rather than allowing academic gaps to widen, organisers said.
2,000 Students Receive Free Bicycles
For many students, the distance between home and school can itself become a barrier. The Samskruthi Seva Samithi has sought to address that challenge by distributing free bicycles to about 2,000 Class 10 students in government schools across the constituency. About Rs. 98 lakh has been spent on the bicycle distribution programme.
The organisation has also paid Rs. 2.60 lakh in examination fees for 2,087 Class 10 students in 41 government schools, helping families struggling to meet education-related expenses.
Better Facilities, Better Learning
The education push also includes improvements to basic school infrastructure. Toilets have been constructed at six government schools in Dharmavaram at a cost of Rs. 35 lakh.
Water-purification facilities have been established at schools and hostels. A plant with a capacity of 2,500 litres an hour was installed at Pothukunta BC Colony and another with a capacity of 1,000 litres an hour at Kethireddy Colony, with a combined expenditure of Rs. 20 lakh. Five additional water-treatment machines were provided at a cost of Rs. 15 lakh.
From Government Schools to Civil Services
The programme's ambitions extend beyond school education. About 25 talented graduates from BC, SC and ST communities have been selected for a two-year free Civil Services coaching programme. The estimated expenditure on coaching and related support is about Rs. 1 crore.
For another group of 35 candidates, free coaching and accommodation are being provided for banking examinations, Satya Kumar Yadav said.
Education Linked to Employment
The initiative is also seeking to connect education with employment. Mega job fairs have been organised in Dharmavaram in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation, with thousands of young people securing employment opportunities, according to the minister.
The larger message behind the programmes is straightforward: support students early, equip them with skills and give talented youth a pathway to competitive careers and jobs.
Satya Kumar Yadav has been supporting students and young people through the Samskruthi Seva Samithi for about 15 years and has now expanded the effort through the Vidya Vikasam and Vidya Vahini programmes.
