Amaravati, September 30, 2026 (Journalist File): The Andhra Pradesh government has released Rs 250.62 crore toward medical claim bills submitted by network hospitals under the Dr. NTR Vaidya Seva and Employees Health Scheme (EHS), Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav said on Wednesday.

Of the latest payment, Rs 227.69 crore was released toward claims under Dr. NTR Vaidya Seva, including payments processed through the Bill Discount System (BDS), while Rs 22.93 crore was paid toward EHS claims, the minister said.

The latest release takes the total amount paid under the two healthcare schemes during the 2026-27 financial year, from April through September, to Rs 2,025 crore. Of this, Rs 1,823.30 crore has been paid to private network hospitals, with the remaining amount deposited with government hospitals, according to the minister.

Yadav said the government was giving priority to the timely settlement of bills submitted by hospitals providing treatment under the schemes. The payments are intended to support the continued delivery of cashless healthcare services to eligible beneficiaries through the network hospital system.

The NTR Vaidya Seva and EHS schemes cover a large network of government and private hospitals across the state, enabling beneficiaries to access specialised medical treatment under the respective programmes.
