AP Completes Arrangements for Medical Tests of Hajj 2027 Pilgrims
AMARAVATI, Sept. 10, 2026: Andhra Pradesh has completed arrangements to conduct district-wise medical examinations for pilgrims provisionally selected for Hajj 2027 (1448-H) and issue health and physical fitness certificates, Minority and Law Minister N.M.D. Farooq said Thursday.
Farooq said the medical examinations are mandatory under the guidelines issued by the Hajj Committee of India. The State Hajj Committee has issued instructions to district medical and health officers across Andhra Pradesh to make arrangements at government health centres and hospitals for the medical screening of selected pilgrims.
Authorized government allopathic medical officers will conduct the prescribed examinations and issue medical examination and physical fitness certificates in the format specified by the Hajj Committee of India, the minister said.
Pilgrims advised to complete formalities
The minister urged Hajj pilgrims to undergo their medical examinations only at the designated government health centre or hospital and obtain the prescribed medical and physical fitness certificates. Pilgrims have also been advised to preserve their medical reports and original fitness certificates, as these documents will be required during subsequent medical examinations and vaccination procedures.
The required documents must be uploaded on the Hajj Committee of India portal by Sept. 15, or submitted to the state or district Hajj Committee offices within the prescribed deadline, Farooq said.
District authorities asked to coordinate
Farooq directed district medical and health officers to coordinate with representatives of the respective district Hajj societies to ensure the medical examinations are conducted smoothly. He appealed to all pilgrims provisionally selected for Hajj 2027 to complete the medical examination process within the stipulated period and obtain their physical fitness certificates.
