AMARAVATI, Sept. 15, 2026: A major recruitment push is underway in Andhra Pradesh, with the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) releasing notifications for 892 government posts across 20 departments on Tuesday as the state moves to accelerate appointments announced in its job calendar.
The notifications are available on the APPSC website, with applications to be accepted in stages beginning in October. The vacancies span key administrative, police, education, revenue, welfare, technical and statistical positions, offering opportunities across a wide range of qualifications and professional backgrounds.
Group 1 Takes Centre Stage
The most prominent recruitment is for 163 Group 1 posts, including some of the state’s most sought-after government positions.
The vacancies include 11 Deputy Collectors, 14 Assistant Commissioners in AP Tax Services, 36 DSPs (Civil), three DSPs (Communications), 14 District Educational Officers, three Regional Transport Officers, one District Tribal Welfare Officer, 15 Deputy Registrars in Cooperative Services and 12 Grade-II Municipal Commissioners.
The Group 1 notification also covers two Assistant Treasury Officers, three District Employment Officers, 14 Assistant Audit Officers and 35 Divisional Development Officers.
Applications for Group 1 posts will open on Oct. 6.
Another Recruitment Window Opens Oct. 9
The APPSC has notified 40 Assistant Environmental Engineer, 37 Horticulture Officer and eight Assistant Director, Forensic Science Laboratory posts.
The welfare sector will also see fresh appointments, with 29 Hostel Welfare Officer Grade-II posts in the BC Welfare Department, 21 in the Social Welfare Department and 23 in the Tribal Welfare Department. Six posts of Assistant Tribal Welfare Officer have also been notified.
Candidates can begin applying for these posts from Oct. 9.
196 Statistical Officer Posts Announced
The 196 Assistant Statistical Officer vacancies form the largest block in the latest round of notifications. Applications will be accepted from Oct. 13.
The commission has also announced 104 Grade-III Executive Officer posts under the AP Endowments Subordinate Service.
Recruitment to Continue in Phases
The latest notifications represent the first major phase of recruitment under the state’s job calendar. APPSC has already covered vacancies in 20 departments, while notifications for remaining departments are expected to follow in stages.
For thousands of aspirants preparing for competitive examinations, the recruitment drive opens a fresh window to compete for positions ranging from Group 1 administration and police services to technical, welfare and specialised departmental posts.
